UHS Adopts
New Electronic Medical Records System
Kent State University Health Services
has recently implemented a new electronic medical
records (EMR) system. Our goal in transitioning
to an EMR is to create an environment which provides
the best possible information to diagnose and treat
our patients. Clinicians now utilize a computer
in the exam room as opposed to a paper medical record
in order to chart patient visits. The information
contained within the EMR is secure and confidential.
Patients can be assured that quality control measures
are in place to prevent any unauthorized disclosure
of health information.
If you have questions or concerns
about the new system please ask at your next visit.
The information technology department
of University Health Services maintains the website
and medical management software used by UHS.
If you have problems accessing the website or questions
regarding the technology of the health center please
